Preachers

                       

John Chambers (Church Elder) preaches regularly, plays the piano and oversees the church programme.  He studied theology with the Baptist Union of Great Britain and St John's College Nottingham.  A trained librarian, John previously managed Stamford Christian Book Centre ('The Ark') and gives piano tuition.  He is a Street Pastor and plays league table tennis for the Free Church team.              

 

Revd May Lloyd (Church Elder) regularly preaches, leads a homegroup and takes joint pastoral leadership.  Before moving to Stamford May ministered in Manchester and has been involved in the work of the Leprosy Mission, of which her late husband Tony was the Director.  May organises the church Lunch Club, is a keen gardener and a Cambridge Board examiner.

Revd Trevor Dearing, retired Church of England minister who led a revival in the 1970s at St Paul's Church, Hainault, Essex.  He later embarked upon a worldwide ministry assisted by his wife, Anne, seeing many delivered, healed and filled with the Holy Spirit. Freely available: 01780 751680

Revd Robert van der Weyer, an Anglican minister serving in Cambridgeshire.  He  formerly led the Little Gidding Community and has lectured in Cambridge on economics and philosophy.  He has also broadcast regularly for the BBC and is the author of more than 50 books.

Ray Markham, author, musician and Test Match cricket scorer.  He was Head of Religious Studies in two comprehensive schools before becoming an author.  HIs books range from studies on the minor prophets to stories of sporting heroism.  Ray is ably assisted in his ministry by his wife, Sheila.
